Hello all,

Today we spent some time exploring the mountains and writing.

DISCUSS
We started class with a discussion of our Blog postings on Peter Elbow’s ideas about writing. We discussed the various strategies and implementations that he advocates. We shared our success and our failures and strategies that we all use to write.

We spent some time in class doing some In-Class free-writing. This exercise encouraged the move to embracing thought and action not performance and product.

For Tuesday
ASSIGN
Read “The Elbow/Barthlomae Debate” on moodle (and attached to email)
Post short summary of reading with two questions on your blog
Review freewriting and select three areas for further exploration.
Do a freewriting at home for one or more of the three areas.

In addition, if you don’t “see” me as a follower to your blog, you need to email me so I can get you on the list.
