Welcome to the class!!

I am so happy to get to meet you all, and I look forward to a stellar semester!

In class today, we discussed:

The course syllabus (posted on moodle and emailed to you all). Since the syllabus is our contract, I would like to hear your feedback on the syllabus. Please review the document and make three suggestions for the document and the class. You will want to bring these suggestions to class on Friday, so that we can revise the draft of the syllabus.

We also spent some time reviewing the technology for the class. First you will need to be able to access moodle. You can access moodle through the myeckerd.edu portal.

You will also need to create a blog at blogger.com. Following the creation of your blog, you will want to go to the class blog writingprocessFall 2009.blogspot.com and select "follow." Clicking this link will ensure that I can see your posts and that you can see my posts.

I have also posted an extra credit on the blog so that you can continue the joy of class.

For Friday
ASSIGN
Create three critiques/suggestions of the syllabus (posted on the moodle page and emailed to you)
Read i.e. watch Peter Elbow


Post a short summary of the video with two questions (on your blog). The posting should be around 200 words.
Post short reflection about your skills as a writer. List one time when you enjoyed or were successful as a writer.
